In Japan, The end of winter is heralded in with a spectacular transformation. The brown, barren branches erupt into a flurry of pink as the temperatures start to rise. Spring is upon us!
Last week, we went to Shikishima Park to take a look at them.
As has become the tradition, we went out with our Konbini snacks and sat on the grass to eat and enjoy the view. Rowboats, strolling, flowers and a perfect warm (in the sun at least) spring day. It was nice.
Some of her friends came through a bit later and since they hadn’t seen each other in a while, I took a slow drive to the Super Autobacs to get some park lights while they caught up and talked about whatever it is they did. In the end. as per usual… Great fun!
