Middle-of-nowhere Japan

Hung over, I went out shooting with one of my oldest friends and one of my newest friends in Japan. We had no fancy landmarks, no special events, and nothing really noteworthy for kilometers around us... Which is the best place in Japan to be.

On my third day in 'ape town I met up with my oldest and best friend (We have been friends since grade 2) We hit up day two of the third test at Sahara Park Newlands. For those of you that have no Idea what I just said… Basically we went to watch cricket live.

While I was back home I took a trip to the sleepy city (they call it the friendly city but the only friendly people I met there were the one’s who were not from there originally. Go figure. I daresay it is still the most beautiful city I have ever been to in my life.

Yes. Our heathen family had a Christmas lunch. For me t was an excuse to consume copious amounts of epic food and enjoy the weather in the back yard with family (whome I may not see for another 3 years) so I put up with the fact that it was marked on the supposed birth of that guy. We’ll try ignore his flock of sheep for the rest of this post though because Tubby is so damn cute!

It’s settled. I NEED an M3. My Nissan Silvia is awesome… no doubt, but the M3 is a whole new world… Without the singing Arab thief and his pet monkey.

Summer Holiday

In the middle of winter. Yes. I went home for 3 weeks, hence the lack of activity here. Internet in South Africa is SHIT! but hey, who cares about service delivery when you can milk the client and pay yourself a R10 million (1億円)  bonus right? F@CK TELKOM!

Anyway, for R17000 (170 000円) I flew Emirates and thus got a short stopover in Dubai where I met a buddy of mine from Osaka who was also heading to SA to see his lady and so we kicked the second leg together.

Blood Stain Child and others - CLUB FLEEZ Takasaki 2011-08-24. Live Report.

After the last time I saw Blood Stain Child, It was pretty obvious that I would be seeing them again. Getting to see them in my local however was quite the surprise! Even more so was the fact that they were with a bunch of really good support acts. The theme was female fronted hard rock. Apologies for the photo quality, I needed to snatch them with my iPhone...

Ofunato Summer 2011 Volunteering - The SPPCF

After a good warm up on Sunday afternoon I was ready to go on Monday morning. I had chosen to go down to the marine factory site (A demolished refrigeration warehouse) to help The SPPCF – The Society for the Prevention of Prevention of Cruelty to Foam.

The next day (Sunday)I got up nice and early, got my shit wired and headed to the city volunteer center for my first day’s work…They were on holiday till that Wednesday. OH SHIT! I just spent 13 hours driving across North Eastern Japan to volunteer, only to find that I was going to waste a whole 3 days doing nothing. Needless to say I was displeased.

I decided to hit up the onsen and relax a bit and clear my thoughts. We had bathed there a few times on the previous trip but it was always at night and so I had never seen the surrounding landscape… Up winding road I drove, rounded a bend and it was like DAM!
